The Retreat Lodge – is situated in the friendly little fishing village of Porgy Bay. The WildQuest Retreat is situated in the friendly little fishing village of Porgy Bay. Light, airy and spacious, with its own bay-side terrace and mooring, it provides the ideal environment to relax after a day on the ocean. The lodge is also just 200 yards from a beautiful beach.
The rooms, just a few steps from the water, are clean and with modern furnishings. Previous visitors have said they found the rooms 'comfortably functional, rather than luxurious', but that has often suited their taste and fits well with the spirit of the retreat.
All rooms are non-smoking, with air-conditioning and a small fridge, most with private bath. In the main house there is the dining room, and also a beautiful meditation/yoga practice room. From the terrace as well as from the bay-side rooms, the sunrise views over the bay are spectacular. The number of bay-side rooms is limited and they are available as an upgrade. There are some private single rooms available, for an upgrade as well.
Meals
Three nourishing meals are provided each day, with lunch usually taken onboard the boat. Cuisine includes vegetarian, chicken or fish dishes, and for one evening in the week we dine out in an authentic local restaurant.
The cook prepares tasty, healthy meals, and is happy to cater for most special dietary needs. Please let advise when you sign up for the retreat if you have any special dietary requirements.

Flights to/from Fort Lauderdale Florida
It is best to plan on arriving in Fort Lauderdale no later than 4:00 pm on the Sunday, May 20th. Our first gathering will be at 5:30 pm at the Bahia Mar Hotel in Fort Lauderdale.
We will return to Fort Lauderdale on the morning of Saturday, May 26th. For domestic flights from Fort Lauderdale home, it’s recommended to arrange flight after 1:30 pm.
Travel/Cancellation Insurance
It is highly recommended that you purchase travel/cancelation insurance to cover any personal emergency situations or unexpected weather. In the event that any portion of the retreat has to be cancelled due to weather conditions, we will not be able to refund the retreat fees. Because fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, we strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance. Additional information on where to purchase will be given upon time of trip booking.
Weather
From April to November the air temperature is typically 80-95 degrees F. it is cooler on the boat with the ocean breeze. Water temperature is typically 77-85 degrees F. For those who are chilled easily a light-weight wetsuit may be helpful.
Travel Documents
All countries are required to have valid passport to enter the Bahamas. Visas are not required for the Bahamas for most people. Non US citizens should check with their Bahamanian Consulate for entry requirements.
